F.A.Q.: Custom Rugs

At Augusta RugWorks we can give you that perfect rug. Starting with the exact size you need and not just the standard rug size you have to settle for at most stores. Do you need it to be round, square, octagon, rectangular, oval or free-form? You also have the option of choosing the colors you want in the rug, again not settling for something that is" "close", but just not exactly right. We offer you the pattern or design that works with your decor. With hundreds of unique patterns to chose from or bring your own design, drawing or picture in, or have us design it for you.

Custom Rugs

1.	We have an odd shape to our great room, therefore, making it impossible to find an area rug that conforms in both size and shape. Is it possible to custom make a rug for this situation?
	Yes, absolutely. We will look at the room, take the measurements, plot them in to our computer and configure a rug in its proper dimensional scale, with a printout version for you to review. Then we simply pick the colors, patterns, textures and fabricate your perfect rug. Or you can visit our online interactive "Size-Your-Rug-Room", where you will be able to build your room and contents, then drop in a rug for sizing and shaping. Additionally you may visit our "Custom Rugs Design Studio" and "Borders and Fields" secions to get some ideas and pricing.

2.	How long does it take for you to create and deliver a custom made rug?
	Of course it depends upon material availability and if everything is in stock, then it takes approximately 7 to 10 days for the average custom rug. There are naturally exceptions to the rule. We will give you delivery time when all the final choices have been made.

3.	Does it cost terribly to have a custom rug made?
	Generally speaking, we can create a custom rug for most budgets. As you know, rug prices are all over the place in range and so it is with custom rugs as well. 4.	Are there limitations on what you can create in the way of a custom rug?
	We have received many challenges in creativity, thus far, and have accomplished the mission and expectation. We are always looking forward to an unexpected challenge in rug making.

5.	Purchasing a custom made rug seems very daunting and I am a little intimidated by the idea. Is it as complex as it sounds?
	We have refined the process over time to make it very "consumer friendly" and are able to ascertain quickly what the customers needs are and distill the choices down to a couple of winning ideas. 6.	I have approximately a 10x14 Karastan rug that no longer fits as we have moved to a new residence. Is it possible to resize this rug to say 8.6 x 11.4, as this would be the perfect size for our dining room?
	Yes, we perform rug resizing fairly often. The amount of material removed is taken from the rug field (center area) in equal proportions, the borders are resized, pattern matched and refitted. Usually, the finished result is like new, except smaller. Please visit our "Oriental and Area Rug Resizing" section for more details.

7.	I like the idea of a custom made rug but I'm a little nervous about not being sure how it is going to ultimately look after it has been delivered. Do you have any way for me to preview the rugs final look?
	Yes, after consultations with Augusta RugWorks you will be able to check out material samples to confirm colors and textures in your home. In addition we can create a computer "mock up" and printout of the finished rug in full color. We can also provide a scaled blueprint of the room with the rug and furnishings shown. Or you can build it and see it yourself in our "Custom Rugs Design Studio" and "Borders and Fields" section. After clicking done in this section, you are invited to request color sample swatches, just fill out the form and they're on their way, no cost.

8.	My sister who lives in another state, has recently purchased a sisal rug for her sunroom. The most interesting thing about the rug to me was the fabric border. Does Augusta RugWorks have this kind of product?

9.	How do we pick the artwork for a custom rug? Do we provide the art or is there any limitations?
	Augusta RugWorks has catalogs full or hundreds of rug art patterns. These patterns can be used as is or modified. You can indeed provide your own artwork or ideas, we welcome working with you. We can also create unique artwork patterns specifically for you. Our "Custom Rugs Design Studio" has 240 rug art design selections that allow you to customize their coloring.

10.	We have an unusual stair case and connected landing and have been told by other carpet retailers it may be impossible to have a runner that connects it all together continuously. Does Augusta RugWorks perform this kind of task?
	Yes, we specialize in Stair Runners. Our runners selection is huge and I personally tackle the fabrication and installation. Visit our "Stair Runners" section where you can select from hundreds of styles and colors. You may price them by the footage needed and order. There is also a formula to help you determine your footage needed for stairways.

11.	Does "RugWorks" imply that you only deal in rugs and not wall to wall carpets?
	Predominately our business is about area rugs, however, our showroom has countless lines of broadloom available for wall to wall carpet and we do provide this service and product.

12.	I am not necessarily interested in a custom made rug. Does Augusta RugWorks have ready made rugs for sale?
	Yes, we carry all the major rug lines, Nourison, Couristan, Stanton, Hellinic, Shaw, Mohawk, Fibreworks, Masland, Milliken, Dynamic, Central Oriental and many more. You may view and order a rug from our on-line store, simply click on "Machine Made Rugs" or "On Line Store".
