ABOUT KARASTAN RUGS:
Marshall Field, an industrialist/retailer was responsible for creating the Karastan rug mill in 1926. Mr. Field modified an existing axminister loom to create a unique machine made rug woven through the back, closely mimicking a handmade oriental rug. the features that set Karastan rugs apart from their machine made competitors is their durability derived from their power driven process of weaving, along with their masterful finishes.
CLEANING YOUR KARASTAN RUG:
Fortunately your Karastan rug is woven using the finest semi-worsted wools and dyed with state of the art synthetic dyeing techniques, making Karastan rugs a joy to clean. The results are always excellent. Our method for cleaning Karastan rugs may vary depending on the rugs condition, see "Cleaning
Methods", but usually is wet based and involves thorough rinse extraction post cleaning, see "Cleaning
Procedures".
CARE, CUSTODY AND CONTROL:
Augusta RugWorks is solely owned by Master rug Artisans Dann and Rita Cook, see "About
Us". Every Karastan rug we receive for cleaning is thoroughly evaluated for the rugs condition before cleaning. We do not send your rug out to other subordinates, all processes from start to finish are serviced at Augusta RugWorks by Dann and Rita Cook, with 30 years experience cleaning Karastan rugs and IICRC Certified.
