Augusta RugWorks has selected 250 custom made area rug patterns. To make if easier to choose we have listed our custom rug patterns by rug style categories. After selecting your rug style simply click "Customize color" and you will be able to color the rugs pattern with your specific colors. All of our custom made area rugs are created in house by Master Rug Artisans Dann and Rita Cook.

CREATIVE PROCESS

Each rug is created from scratch by first developing a pattern that is scaled to your orders rug size and shape. All of this artwork is hand rendered and transferred to the rugs raw material for hand cutting. After cutting the appropriate pattern artwork your custom area rug is transferred to the rug inlaying process where it is hand fabricated. The next step is a process known as thermo-welding, this permanently secures the artwork in to the rugs field. From here it is on to the hand carving or sculpting stage. This technique creates a deep rich embossed effect rendering a dimensional separation of the artwork and associated art colors. This is truly when your rug comes to life. The rug carving and sculpting aspect is very detailed and takes many hours to accomplish that unique effect. Finally the custom rug moves on to the finishing stage where a fabric (either muslin cloth or felt) is used to cover the back of your rug and then lastly the rug edges are machine serged and final inspection is done to ready your rug for shipping.
